Hi,
I have downloaded the server and GUI. The server code directory is missing the following files: INSTALL install-sh missing COPYING mkinstalldirs
Also all the files seem to have this wierd ^M at the end of every line. Wrecks havoc with the shell scripts. I checked out the code from the svn repositiry. I am running linux and presently working towards building a Java client. I also tried to connect to the 82.238.147.130 : 80 server, I am not getting any response, however I can access it through http and it shows me uptime.
Thanks.
Pranab.

OK, I will check out this missing files problem. Theses files are empty anyway, you can create them and try to compile. Please tell me if you suceed or not. I will anyway see that this week end. What's strange is that you can not access the public server. My router is well configured. Another thing to check this week end

No i cant compile it still. Also I forgot to mention the Makefile does not exist. Only Makefile.am and Makefile.in. I still am trying to connect to the server you have setup, will keep trying and post if I get through.

I am sorry. I have been really dumb. The missing files are nothing to worry about. I am using ubuntu and i did not realise that i have not installed autoconf and other such tools.
I have installed all the tools. But while compiling i am getting errors. I will show the output of the configure script and then the output of the make, to help debug the problem.
Configure output:

you have to install boost thread libraries
apt-get install libboost-thread-dev

Everything works now. Thanks to Faivrem. I was using ubuntu while i faced these libboost problems. So for those who use ubuntu and may face similar such problems, just use apt-get install and install all libboost related files. I mean all of them, recommended and suggested and all the packages. Install them all, if you dont like using apt-get, then use synaptic package manager.
Pranab.
